Even though their experiences were a bit dissimilar to mine, these were still being challenged towards the core, which means this gave me comfort if you know the tough journey was not exclusively for me. For this reason understanding I began to provide myself permission to recover from the victim mindset which in fact had me in the mental prison for countless years. The thing is people have to go through some difficult times at different periods in our lives and nobody can tell why we have to have these experiences.
