The cast of characters are settling looking for their new situations. They think that nothing much must be happening to upset that world, yet, these are surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue results in authentically being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The idea is straightforward enough and just subtle enough to give a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing on her behalf “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. The three in residence are missing. Ma is really a problem regarding it. She even visits the neighborhood newspaper once the local police don’t act upon her fears. She does bring in the out-of-work detective, the new editor from the local newspaper and last but not least town itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who was simply named following your town under consideration, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta provides extensive going for her currently, she’s gone after the top city, OKC, OK and landed employment with the local t.v. station. Although this does not strengthen your journalistic career, it can get her in the middle of Auto and era of the day. The typical players for Henryetta are Wynona Sue, Henrietta’s hairdresser mother stars in a “reality” show, see later. Her husband, Professor LeHough, an area bug expert is bald coming from a surprise shaving. Rodney, Henrietta’s boyfriend, camera man buddy and overall best friend is pulled and tugged by Henrietta and her immediate boss Miss Peg. Harold Mixon, the master and editor emeritus from the local weekly newspaper, just put on the internet is wanting to have a very pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend with his friends on the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).
The opposite main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor from the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private eye which has a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo as the “reality” show director wanting to shot a pilot to get a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round good old boy, relates to town to aid in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once they will get involved with the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With an increase of rumors then a facts probably warrant, these missing girls be plus more objects of speculation and intrigue while almost no factual details are given. The rumors begin mild as the missing girls are just searched by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally resulted in a major “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading within the news therefore the townspeople.
