A new 2016 Xmas rock tune has been written, created and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key purpose of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The tunes name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used local session players to record the music durring a six week period. The songs consists of 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA due to Mark wanted the most effective result and quality. The track is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day website as we can and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be kind enough to give to at least one or all the Phuket charities, and to also download the song.
The other primary goal is to get enough downloads of the music to fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will present free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local schools and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to advertise his music Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous ways to help including a Phuket Villa and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every cent helps.
