How weddings have changed within the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding ceremony members; a simple wedding car to expensive and huge wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
These are the second, wedding speeches are nevertheless a fundamental part of a wedding and guests do look ahead to hearing them, discussing them before, during as wll as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of father of the bride speech delivered before the meal, during the meal after your food, yet it’s of the strong opinion that the wedding speeches must be delivered as soon as the meal. I know that for many wedding party speakers i.e. Father from the Bride Speech, Father of the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the 5 main speakers), they’d would rather contain the wedding speeches prior to the meal, so they can enjoy their meal (a number of them are paying for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and the way many of them (as wll as the marriage venue staff) would like wedding ceremony speeches to be delivered after the meal for several reasons, most of which include:
The invited guests are already fed and watered and aren’t playing wedding speeches before eating any breakfast (at least of food, which will be so prior to meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food might be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the marriage speeches prior to the meal and their could be a delay of Quarter-hour to at least one.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding speeches work as the transition in the meal for the dancing (without a penny happening after the meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared about the Bride & Groom and they do know they are able to stand up, move, come out, take a stroll, go to the bar…)
It can be difficult for moms and dads from the Bride & Groom to talk in public areas, since most of them would not be used of it. So, they can, if they so wished, speak before the / their meal.
There should always be some kind of formal speech(es) as soon as the meal…
