How weddings have changed in the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding party members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and huge wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
These are the latter, wedding speeches are still a fundamental part of being married and guests do look forward to hearing them, speaking about them before, during and even after they’ve been delivered.
We have all heard of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, during the meal after the meal, yet it is of an strong opinion how the wedding speeches should be delivered following your meal. I realize that for most wedding ceremony speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father with the father of the groom speech (5 main speakers), they might choose to have the wedding speeches ahead of the meal, to allow them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are paying for it!). However, it is all about the invited guests and exactly how most of them (as wll as the marriage venue staff) would prefer wedding ceremony speeches to become delivered after the meal for most reasons, many of which include:
The invited guests have already been fed and watered and aren’t hearing wedding speeches before eating any breakfast (at least of food, which would be so ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival with the wedding venue)
Food might be cooked and served with the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches prior to meal along with their could be a delay of Fifteen minutes one.5 hours, driving your kitchen staff crazy trying to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding ceremony speeches behave as the transition in the meal for the dancing (without a penny happening following the meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ being shared in regards to the Bride & Groom after which it they are fully aware they could get out of bed, maneuver around, have a break, take a stroll, go to the bar…)
It can be hard for parents with the Bride & Groom to talk in public, as most of them couldn’t survive used than it. So, they might, should they so wished, speak ahead of the / their meal.
There should be some sort of formal speech(es) as soon as the meal…
