Xbox One Controller Review

I was first shocked with the Nintendo’s introduction of the Wiimote. Stunned by Sony’s Eyetoy and played some really competitive matches on Kinect Sports. Though exactly what the core gamers want is definitely your standard controller. Unfortunately we cannot need motion controls to try out games; we demand we’ve something in our hand with thumbsticks and triggers. There won’t be Major League Gaming tournaments for Wii Sports, right?

Given that I’m at E3 I had to get my hands on a controller through the next generation of consoles. The 1st I got to learn with could be the Xbox One’s. Microsoft hasn’t a perfect track record with controllers- anyone remember the Duke controller through the original Xbox? Luckily, this controller is more Xbox 360 console then a Duke. The very first thing you’ll notice is it looks a bit bit larger than a 360 controller. It’s just a fantasy; if anything it felt convenient and cushty in my hands compared to previous one ever did.

It is essential i think that they absolutely was required to make improvements to was the D-Pad. The directional pad for the Xbox 360 system was unresponsive, clunky and merely a mess. About the Xbox One’s version, it’s sleek (in the good way), fast plus it is really a delightful click when you apply pressure for the pad. I’m curious to see how good a fighting game will play with this new controller.

Call of Duty and Halo are the Xbox’s most common games; they’re both shooters and you constantly need to use both analog sticks. So was there a way to increase the already great analog sticks in the 360? It sure is like they did. The analog sticks felt light but sturdy and was quite accurate. Dare I believe that video gaming is becoming closer to the accurate a feeling of a mouse on the computer?

Something I had together with the Xbox 360 system gamepad will be the Xbox Guide button. It’s perfectly located at the top middle portion of the controller and you will accidentally hit it. Microsoft decided to allow it to be flat (and so harder to push unintentionally) and put it at the pinnacle of the controller. This is a smart position for the button and I don’t see many people hitting it in the center of gameplay.

Combined with other various upgrades made from the Xbox controller, the triggers got love too, with rumble included with each. This sounds absurd but when you try it for yourself, you’ll begin to wonder why we was lacking this before. While i was playing Forza 5, I used to be power sliding in to a sharp turn and you can feel the tires squeal over the pavement from the trigger rumbles. It turned out subtle and put into the immersive feeling.

There are only a couple of things I needed complaints about, most notably the nearly everywhere bumpers. They appear to have built them into a great deal bigger even though playing Crimson Dragon they did not exactly feel great when i experimented with barrel unveil of the way of projectiles. This may be an issue with the overall game nevertheless the buttons themselves were just okay. This really is no means a serious issue and i am sure it’s going to just take some time getting used to.
