METRO HALL – INDULGE
Metro Hall is located at 55 John Street, Toronto, Ontario. This season, the city has begun a brand new “event” that going on Thursday, May 25th at 8:00 am. It takes place in Metro Hall Square and also the public is invited to participate relating to the sights, sounds, and flavors with the city. It will take place every Thursday through the summer until October 12th.
The square (from 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.) with have food vendors and live entertainment for your lunchtime crowd. You are able to sit within the square, the ones watch as you enjoy lunch while hearing a free concert.
THE TORONTO MUSIC GARDEN
The Toronto Music Garden offers free music and dance programming through the entire summer. A chance to access this beautiful waterfront facility is free seven days a week. The garden was created by the world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and landscape designer Julie Moir Messervy being a reflection in landscape of Bach’s First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello. Buy 19 free concerts come early july, featuring outstanding artists plus a wide range of musical styles, from medieval love songs to finger-style guitar. Concerts take place in the Toronto Music Garden on most Thursdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 4 pm and therefore are approximately 60 minutes in total.
THE BEACHES INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
From July 7 to 30, the Beaches area of Toronto’s east end holds this not-to-be-missed festival. This is a unique music festival being community-based and free. This coming year, over 700 artists will attract an audience well over One million fans. The lineup includes over 100 bands playing various kinds of music including Jazz, Big Band, Reggae, Calypso, and Blues.
