A brand new 2016 Xmas rock n roll song has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day site .
The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs genre is a distinctive up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and semi recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo song since then waiting for the chance to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used local session musicians to record the tune durring a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 separate tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the USA because of Mark wanted the very best result and quality. The music is currently ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day website as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they will be kind enough to help to 1 or any of the Phuket island charities, and to also download the song.
The other primary goal is to get enough downloads of the music to fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local schools and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to market his song Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and . On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous ways to help including a Thailand Resort and budget flight booking to Phuket booking system. Every penny helps.
