A brand new 2016 Christmas rock tune has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs sound is a special up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo song since then waiting for the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session players to studio record the track durring a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the very best outcome and quality. The song is now ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day site as possible and then hopefully in-turn they will be kind enough to donate to at least one or every one of the Phuket charities, and to also buy the song.
The other primary goal is to get enough downloads of the tune to help fund and set up a Phuket live music club with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, which will offer free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the neighborhood colleges and children’s orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to advertise his tune Tsunami Day which was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to greatly help including a Thailand Villa and budget flights to Phuket booking system. Every cent helps.
